A Company Trace is an inter- or intra-departmental note used to track and manage communication or task delegation related to a specific Company.
Traces are a valuable tool for ensuring follow-ups, task accountability, and interdepartmental coordination.

Communication and Task Management
Traces can be used to communicate information or assign tasks to a specific Department.-
Trace Visibility
Company Traces appear on:The Requirements/Trace tab of the Company profile
The To Do Chart for the assigned Department or User

User Assignment & Notifications
A trace can be assigned to a specific User within the selected Department.Enable ‘Send to Message Centre’ to notify the User directly (Optional).

Flexible Scheduling
Traces can include:A Due Date for one-time tasks
A Date Range with a Repeat Frequency for recurring tasks
Completion Tracking
Traces can be marked as Completed by Users with the appropriate Security Profile permissions.

Trace Templates
Predefined Trace Templates can be used to quickly populate common trace details.Templates can be created for a Company, Area, Travel Agent, Reservation, Guest, or Group
Only templates associated with the selected Department will be available
Reporting
The Traces Report provides an overview of all traces within a selected date range, making it easy to monitor follow-ups and outstanding tasks.
Guide
In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Company.
- Select Edit on an existing Company.
 - Go to the Requirements/Trace menu.
- Click Add.
- Select Add Trace.
 - Select the Department.
Select a Trace Template to auto-fill details (Optional). - Enter a Description (less than 50 characters).
- Enter a Long Description.
- Select a Due Date or select a Date Range if the trace should span multiple days.
If a Date Range is selected, select a Repeat Frequency (Optional).
Assign a User to the trace (Optional).
Check Send to Message Centre to notify the selected User (Optional). - Select Save/Exit.

The Company Trace will appear under the 'Requirements/Trace' tab of the Company profile and on the To Do Chart.
