How to setup the RMS Booking Engine to use the RMS Vault.
Overview
The RMS Vault can securely store credit card information for guests during online reservations or manual entry.
The RMS Vault can only be used for the storage of credit cards and does not include payment processing.
For secure storage of credit cards, including payment processing, a Payment Gateway must be used with RMS.
Vault Tokens created in RMS are encrypted and automatically expire 14 days after the reservation's original Departure Date.
The default Property PDF Password is the property's RMS Client ID.
Vault Tokens are automatically removed from RMS 14 days after the original departure date of the reservation unless a future reservation with the same Guest Profile exists.
Online Vault Tokens received via the RMS Booking Engine are associated with the Guest Profile and that Online reservation only.
Online Vault Tokens created during the online booking process are only visible on the original online reservation with the original Guest Profile. Changing the associated Guest Profile or creating new reservations using the same Guest Profile will not include the Online Vault Token.
