How to retrieve credit card details from the Vault in RMS.
Overview
The RMS Vault securely stores guest credit card details from online bookings or manual entries. Stored cards are encrypted, kept in a PCI-compliant facility, and expire 14 days after the reservation's departure date.
The RMS Vault can only be used for the storage of credit cards and does not include payment processing.
The true CVV of a card is protected in a locked PDF emailed to the property email address.
The PDF corresponding to a particular stored card can be found by searching for the CVV Code displayed when viewing the stored card details in the property's email inbox and using the Property Password to unlock the PDF.
The Password to access the PDF document is the Property's RMS Client ID.
If the departure date is changed to a past date, the removal date will not update.
Please Note! RMS is highly configurable. Some Terminology, User Access & Permissions, Images, Labels, and Functions used in these articles may differ from your setup. CLICK HERE to find out more.
