Overview
The RMS Vault can be used to securely store credit card information for guests through online reservations or manual entry.
The RMS Vault can only be used for the storage of credit cards and does not include payment processing.
The true CCV of a card is protected in a locked PDF emailed to the property email address.
The PDF corresponding to a particular Vault Token can be found by searching for the CCV Code displayed when viewing the Vault Token in the property's email inbox and using the Property Password to unlock the PDF.
The Password to access the PDF document is the Property's RMS Client ID.
★ Tip: Vault Tokens created in RMS are encrypted and stored in a PCI compliant facility and automatically expire 14 days after the reservation's original departure date.
Vault Tokens are automatically removed from RMS 14 days after the original departure date of the reservation unless a future reservation with the same Guest Profile exists.
