How to Override a Rate or Minimum Length of Stay Directly in the Rate Manager Chart

Overview

A Rate Override modifies the Base Rate Amount set on the Rate Table for a selected Rate Type. The overridden value becomes the new base rate used in the Total Rate Calculation, prior to applying any Additionals, Discounts, Packages, Commissions, or Taxes.

What Happens When a Rate Override is Active?

• The system ignores the Rate Setup tab, including any Dynamic Pricing configurations.

• Derived Rate Adjustments and any manual Rate Adjustments made via the Control Panel are bypassed.

• Additionals and Packages configured in the Rate Table remain active and are included in the final rate.

Rate Override

In the side menu of RMS, go to Charts > Rate Manager.

1. Set the Display to Rate.
2. Expand the Category & Rate Type combination required.
3. Right Click in the Date Cell. 

4. Choose Override Base Rate. 
   

    

5. Enter the New Rate.
6. Select Save & Exit. 
    

Minimum Length of Stay Override

In the side menu of RMS, go to Charts > Rate Manager.

1. Set the Display to On Arrival Day Only (MLOS).
2. Expand the Category & Rate Type combination required.
3. Right Click in the Date Cell.

4. Choose Override Min Nights. 

   

    

5. Enter the Minimum Nights.

6. Select Save & Exit.
