Additionals pricing options can be used for RMS to automatically calculate the cost of extra guests on a reservation as part of the rate calculation.
Overview
A Rate Table defines the fee structure for a specific rate type. The Extended Stay Rate Table by Night of the Week adjusts pricing based on the day of the week the reservation date falls on, particularly for long-term bookings that extend beyond a week or month.
The Rate Table can incorporate various elements, such as Length-of-Stay restrictions, additional guest fees, Dynamic Pricing rules, and package components. Many of these factors are configurable across multiple layers of rate components for greater flexibility.
Additionally, Length-of-Stay Restrictions set within the Rate Table will take precedence over any restrictions defined at the Rate Type or Rate Period level.
Please Note! RMS is highly configurable. Some Terminology, User Access & Permissions, Images, Labels, and Functions used in these articles may differ from your setup. CLICK HERE to find out more.
Important! With the Extended Stay format, the monthly rate is determined based on the calendar month corresponding to the arrival date. If the reservation's length of stay does not cover an entire calendar month, the guest will be charged the weekly rate instead of the monthly rate.
Configuration
The Extended Stay Rate Table allows you to configure weekly or monthly rates, or create a single rate that accommodates both short and long stays by leveraging all three pricing options. You can set a cap on the number of cycles for which the weekly or monthly rate applies. Once this limit is reached, the Best Available Rate will be used for any additional nights beyond the capped period.
Important! A Rate Type and Rate Table can only be linked in a Rate Lookup if they are set up within the same rate structure. The Extended Stay Rate Table, based on the Night of the Week, can be created under either the OTA or Direct rate structure.
