How to Override a Rate Using the Rate Manager Chart
Overview
Rate Override modifies the Base Rate Amount on the Rate Table for the selected Rate Type. The overridden value is used as the base prior to calculating any Additionals, Discounts, Packages, Commissions, or Taxes, and is applied during Total Rate calculation.
When a Rate Override is active:
- The system ignores the Rate Setup tab, including any Dynamic Pricing configurations.
- Derived Rate Adjustments, as well as any Rate Adjustments entered via the Control Panel are bypassed.
- Additionals and Packages defined in the Rate Table remain active and are included in the final rate.
