Creating reservations for guests with unknown Departure Dates in RMS.

Overview

When making a reservation for a tradesperson or off-site contractor completing work, the exact finish date may be uncertain.

In these cases, it is recommended to set the accommodation departure date a few days beyond the expected completion date.

This approach is especially useful during peak periods when availability is limited.

A Reservation Note can be added to indicate to all staff working front desk how to proceed with this reservation.

When the work order is completed ahead of schedule, and the contractor departs, the reservation Departure Date can be altered to the shortened length of stay to open the Area availability for those remaining dates.
