Need it Now: Channel Information

This article describes the Need it Now channel connection in RMS, including the data exchanged between Need it Now and RMS.

 

Overview

Need it Now is an online booking channel that can be connected to RMS via the Channel Manager. Once connected, Need it Now and RMS exchange availability, rate, restriction, and reservation data automatically.

This article outlines which data is sent and received between Need it Now and RMS, and provides a reference for the supported and unsupported functions of the integration.

Key Points

  • Need it Now supports single reservations, but does not support group reservations or reservation modifications.
  • Email confirmations for bookings made through Need it Now are sent by Need It Now, not by RMS.
  • Live availability is limited to 365 Days*.
⚠ Important: Need it Now does not support reservation modifications. If a guest needs to change their booking (for example, dates, room type, or guest count), the modification must be made manually in RMS. The original Need it Now reservation should be updated directly on the reservation in RMS.

 

Connecting Need it Now to RMS

To connect Need it Now as a channel in RMS, follow the general Channel Connection process. This involves activating the channel in the RMS Channel Manager, mapping your properties, categories, and rate types, and then enabling the connection.
