UseROSS: Channel Information

This article describes the UseROSS channel connection in RMS, including the data exchanged between UseROSS and RMS.

 

Overview

UseROSS is an online booking channel that can be connected to RMS via the Channel Manager. Once connected, UseROSS and RMS exchange availability, rate, restriction, and reservation data automatically.

This article outlines which data is sent and received between UseROSS and RMS, and provides a reference for the supported and unsupported functions of the integration.

Key Points

  • UseROSS supports single reservations and group reservations, but does not support reservation modifications.
  • Email confirmations for bookings made through UseROSS are sent by UseROSS, not by RMS.
  • Live availability is limited to 365 Days.
⚠ Important: UseROSS does not support reservation modifications. If a guest needs to change their booking (for example, dates, room type, or guest count), the modification must be made manually in RMS. The original UseROSS reservation should be updated directly on the reservation in RMS.

 

Connecting UseROSS to RMS

To connect UseROSS as a channel in RMS, follow the general Channel Connection process. This involves activating the channel in the RMS Channel Manager, mapping your properties, categories, and rate types, and then enabling the connection.
