HOMhero: Channel Information

This article describes the HOMhero channel connection in RMS, including the data exchanged between HOMhero and RMS.

 

Overview

HOMhero is an online booking channel that can be connected to RMS via the Channel Manager. Once connected, HOMhero and RMS exchange availability, rate, restriction, and reservation data automatically.

This article outlines which data is sent and received between HOMhero and RMS, and provides a reference for the supported and unsupported functions of the integration.

Key Points

  • HOMhero supports single reservations, but does not support group reservations or reservation modifications.
  • Email confirmations for bookings made through HOMhero are sent by HOMhero, not by RMS.
⚠ Important: HOMhero does not support reservation modifications. If a guest needs to change their booking (for example, dates, room type, or guest count), the modification must be made manually in RMS. The original HOMhero reservation should be updated directly on the reservation in RMS.

 

Connecting HOMhero to RMS

To connect HOMhero as a channel in RMS, follow the general Channel Connection process. This involves activating the channel in the RMS Channel Manager, mapping your properties, categories, and rate types, and then enabling the connection.
