Common Scenarios and Limitations
Rate Descriptions: If you use detailed rate descriptions (e.g., "Early Bird Special – 20% Discount"), note that iHospitality Gateway does not synchronise these to all channels. You may need to add descriptions directly on individual OTA platforms.
Postcodes/ZIP Codes: Guest postcode information is not currently synchronised through iHospitality Gateway. If this information is critical for your operations, you may need to collect it separately or manually add it to guest records in RMS.
Soft Close Restrictions: Currently, Minimum Nights (Soft Close) restrictions cannot be synchronised via iHospitality Gateway. Restrictions such as Stop Sell and Closed to Arrival/Departure and Minimum Nights (MLOS).
Troubleshooting
Reservations Not Appearing in RMS: Ensure that iHospitality Gateway is active and connected on your RMS account. Check that the channel connection is authorised and active. Verify that reservations are being made on a connected channel.
Guest Information Missing: Guest details are populated based on what the OTA sends. If a guest books with incomplete information on the OTA, that data will appear incomplete in RMS.
