This article describes the Sabre SynXis HTNG channel connection in RMS, including the data exchanged between Sabre SynXis HTNG and RMS.
Overview
Sabre SynXis HTNG is an online booking channel that can be connected to RMS via the Channel Manager. Once connected, Sabre SynXis HTNG and RMS exchange availability, rate, restriction, and reservation data automatically.
This article outlines which data is sent and received between Sabre SynXis HTNG and RMS, and provides a reference for the supported and unsupported functions of the integration.
Key Points
- Sabre SynXis HTNG supports single reservations and cancellations.
- Email confirmations for bookings made through Sabre SynXis HTNG are sent by Sabre, not by RMS.
- Live availability is limited to 18 Months**.
Preparing to Connect
- Before completing the Channel Connection, contact the property's Sabre SHS Account Manager and advise of the intention to connect, then complete the Sabre setup with Sabre's SHS Integration Team.
- The Sabre CRS Summary Sheet will be needed to complete the Channel Connection in RMS.
- Contact RMS Support to enable the 2-Way PMS interface with Sabre.
-
Use Source Travel Agent will match the origin Travel Agent with a Travel Agent record in RMS.
- The Travel Agent will be matched using the IATA or External ID, and the Company will be matched on External ID.
- If the Travel Agent or Company sent by Sabre cannot be matched with an existing record in RMS, RMS does NOT create a new profile. Instead, the details will be appended to the OTA Notes.
- To ensure existing profiles match Sabre data, add the External ID from the OTA Notes into the External Reference Number field in the Travel Agent or Company setup.
- Rates will be sent using the Rate Type Tax option setup on the mapped Rate Type.
- RMS supports the Sabre SynXis Multi-Room Booking function and saves these as “Group Bookings” in RMS.
However, “Itinerary Bookings” from Sabre SynXis are Not Compatible with RMS9+ and will be imported as Individual Reservations. - Hide from Guest Portal will prevent the guest from managing this reservation when logged into the Guest Portal, including Pre Check-in & Guest Declaration, and Digital Check-in.
- The "Disable Rate Update" option is available in the channel management mapping screen. When this option is ticked for a mapped room/rate, RMS will not send rate updates to Sabre SynXis HTNG for that specific room/rate. However, reservations will still be delivered successfully via the mapped room/rate.
