This article explains how the Group Master can complete Pre Check-In for all guests in a group booking through the Guest Portal when Rate on Master is enabled.

Overview

When Rate on Master is enabled on a Master Reservation, the Group Master can complete Pre Check-In for all guests in the group from a single session in the Guest Portal. The Group Master steps through each guest's details sequentially, accepts terms and conditions on behalf of the group, and makes a single payment - all charged to the Master Reservation account.

This is particularly useful for groups where one guest is responsible for the entire party, such as groups with minors, school groups, or corporate bookings where the billing guest handles check-in on behalf of everyone.

Prerequisites

• The Guest Portal module must be enabled on the property.
• Pre Check-In must be configured in the Guest Portal, including a Registration Card Form Letter with the «cDigitalRegoSignature» merge field selected on the Check-In tab.
• Rate on Master must be enabled on the Master Reservation.
• Guest Portal correspondence containing the portal login link must be sent to the Group Master.

Steps

1. Open the Guest Portal link from the property's correspondence email.
2. Log in using the mobile number or email address on the reservation and the one-time access code.
3. On the reservation overview, select the Pre Check-In option on the Master Reservation.
   
    
4. Complete the guest details for the first guest in the group and select Continue. The portal advances to the guest details for the next sibling reservation.
   
    
5. Repeat for each guest in the group.
6. On the Terms and Conditions step, review and accept. This step lists details for all sibling reservations in the group.
   
    
7. On the Payment step, enter payment details. Payment is processed against the Master Reservation account in line with the property's Guest Portal payment settings.

8. Once complete, the Master Reservation and all sibling reservations move to Pre Checked In status.
