Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Financial Export.

Overview

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a cloud business management solution from Microsoft that brings together finance, sales, service and operations. RMS can produce a Financial Export of transaction data that is mapped to your Business Central chart of accounts and imported into Business Central as a journal.

This Financial Interface is built on the same export framework as the Generic Financial Export and is available for properties using RMS.

Prerequisites

• An active Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central tenant with a configured chart of accounts.
• An RMS user with access to Setup > Accounting in RMS (typically System Administrator or a Security Profile with Accounting permissions).
• The RMS General Ledger Account Codes in RMS must mirror the account codes used in your Business Central chart of accounts.

Financial Interface Mapping

In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Accounting > Financial Interface.

1. Navigate to the 'Mapping' tab.
2. Enter the GL Account Codes & Descriptions in the Advances Ledger section.
3. Enter the GL Account Codes & Descriptions in the Guest Ledger section.
4. Enter the GL Account Codes & Descriptions in the City Ledger section.
5. Select 'Save' and navigate to the 'Receipts' tab.
6. Enter the GL Account Codes & Descriptions for the Receipt Types.
7. Select 'Save' and navigate to the 'Credit Cards' tab.
8. Enter the GL Account Codes & Descriptions for the Card Types.
9. Select 'Save'.
   (Optional) Navigate to the 'Statistics' tab.
   • Enter the Business Central GL Account Codes & Descriptions for the RMS Statistics.
10. Select Save/Exit.

Financial Interface Utility

In the side menu of RMS, go to Utilities > Financial Interface.

1. Select the Date.
2. Select a File Format.
3. Select 'Export File'.

The exported file can then be imported into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as a journal.
