Multiple Best Available Rates (Multi-BAR) is a feature in RMS that allows you to preset multiple pricing levels for your Best Available Rate, giving you the flexibility to toggle between different price points as needed.

Overview

Multi-BAR is especially useful for simplifying seasonal rate management and streamlining ongoing rate adjustments, without the need to create separate rate types for each pricing variation.

Preset price points can be applied to any date range and easily adjusted as business needs evolve.
To enable this functionality, create a Rate Table and Rate Lookup for each Best Available Rate type you wish to use.

Rate Type Configuration

In the side menu of RMS, go to Charts > Rate Manager.

1. Navigate to the Rates icon.
2. Select Rate Types.
   
    
3. Select the Add icon.
   
    
4. Enter the Rate Code.
5. Select a Rate Structure.
6. Enter the Rate Type Description.
7. Input a Charge Description.
8. Enter a Long Description (optional).
9. Enable the Best Available Rate checkbox.
10. Select any additional Rate Type Options (optional).
11. Click the Save & Exit icon. 
    
     

12. Select the Rate Type Access and choose Apply.
    
     

    ★ Tip: Repeat these steps to add any remaining Multiple Best Available Rate (Multi-BAR) types as needed.
