How to setup Service Providers for Job and Event Management in RMS.
Overview
A Service Provider is an external business contracted to carry out tasks related to Event Management or Job Management. Each provider record includes contact details, key contacts (with a designated primary contact), notes, and internal memos for reference.
Each service provider record in RMS includes:
Business contact details
Key contacts (with the ability to designate a primary contact)
Notes for general information
Internal memos for staff reference
By setting up Service Providers correctly, properties can ensure smooth collaboration with external vendors and deliver a seamless event experience.
Event Management
The Event Management module in RMS enables properties to manage bookings for event spaces and efficiently plan, schedule, and execute a wide range of events — including weddings, conferences, meetings, parties, and more.
As part of this process, Service Providers are external businesses or individuals contracted to deliver specific services related to events, such as catering, entertainment, AV support, floristry, etc.
These records help streamline communication and coordination during the event planning process.
Job Management
Job Management allows properties to track maintenance tasks for an Area, Asset, or Dwelling, with built‑in charging and payment options.
When creating a task for any of these, Users can select from available Job Types.
Guide
In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Event Management > Service Providers.
- Select Add.
- Select the Type.
- Enter the Service Provider name.
- Enter the Contact Details.
- Select Save/Exit.
Navigate to the Contacts or Memos tabs to enter in additional details for this Service Provider if required.
