Generate access keys for shared spaces using the integrated door lock module.
Overview
Common Areas are shared spaces at a property—such as car parks, pools, or gym facilities—that require key access. These areas can be made accessible to guests during their stay through integration with a compatible Door Lock module.
The Door Locks module allows RMS to integrate with partnered smart lock or digital lock systems, enabling seamless key generation and access management.
Common Area Mapping is used to link shared spaces (Common Areas) with specific Areas in the system. When a Key is created on a Reservation, access to the associated Common Areas is automatically enabled.
Key Creation: Keys can be encoded directly from the Reservation using the Key icon
.
The Key Serial Number will be recorded in the Reservation's Audit Trail for tracking purposes.
