The Area Income Summary Report shows reservation counts, occupancy and Operational Revenue for each Area across a selected date range.
Overview
The Area Income Summary Report is an interactive Operational Revenue report that provides Area statistics and revenue figures for a selected date range. Use it to review how often each Area is being booked and how much revenue each Area is contributing.

How to Access
Go to Reports > Management > Financial > Area Income Summary.
Build Options
Configure the following options on the report build screen, then select Build. Select More Options to display the additional options shown at the end of the table.

| New Page Per Group | Checkbox | Off | Start a new page for each group when the report is printed or exported. Available under More Options. |
| Include All Area | Checkbox | Off | Include every Area in the selected Categories, even Areas with no reservations in the date range. Available under More Options. |

| Include Sibling Area if Interconnecting Reservation | Checkbox | Off | Include the linked sibling Area on Interconnecting reservations so revenue and stats are reported against both Areas. Available under More Options. |
✎ Please Note: The Area Income Summary is an Operational Revenue report and will calculate differently to a Financial Revenue report such as the Charges or Night Audit reports. See Operational Revenue for more information.
Guide
In the side menu of RMS, go to Reports > Management > Financial > Area Income Summary.
- Select a Date Range.
(Optional) Select the Categories.
(Optional) Select an Area. - Select a Group By option.
(Optional) Select a Sort By option. - Select a Report View.
- Select an Operational Revenue option.
(Optional) Select More Options for additional report selections. - Select Build.
★ Tip: Select the 
favourite icon to mark this Report as a Favourite Report for quick access via the Favourite Reports Menu.
Report Columns
The report includes the following columns.

| Area | The Area Description for the Area included on the report. |
| Total Res | The total number of reservations using this Area for the selected date range. |
| Total Nights | The total number of nights booked on reservations using this Area for the selected date range. |
| Accomm ($) | The total value of Operational Revenue on reservations using this Area for the selected date range. |
| Discount ($) | The total value of Discounts on reservations using this Area for the selected date range where the Discount is set up to be included in Operational Revenue. The displayed Discount value is already deducted from the Accomm column. |
| Other ($) | The total value of charges (excluding Operational Revenue) on reservations using this Area where the transaction date of the charge is within the selected date range. |
| Total ($) | The combined total of the Accomm and Other column values for the Area within the selected date range. |
| Avg Accomm ($) | The Accomm value divided by the number of reservations using this Area for the selected date range. |
| Avg Discount ($) | The Discount value divided by the number of reservations using this Area for the selected date range. |
| Avg Other ($) | The Other value divided by the number of reservations using this Area for the selected date range. |
| Avg Daily Rate ($) | The Accomm value divided by the Total Nights for reservations using this Area within the selected date range. |
| Occupancy (%) | The percentage of the selected date range this Area was occupied. |
Use Cases
- End-of-month revenue review - the accounts team runs the report for the previous month to compare Operational Revenue and occupancy across each Area.
- Area performance analysis - revenue managers use the report to identify low-performing Areas that may need a pricing or marketing review.
- Discount impact - the report's Discount and Avg Discount columns show how much revenue is being given away on each Area over the selected period.
