Overview
A Rate Table defines the fee structure for a standalone rate in RMS. The Per Adults/Children Rate Table calculates pricing based on the number and type of guests for each reservation date.
Length-of-stay restrictions, additional guest fees, Dynamic Pricing rules, and package components can all be included in a Rate Table, with many of these elements configurable across multiple layers of rate components. The Rate Hierarchy governs which validation criteria and rate rules apply when multiple rate layers are used in a reservation.

A Rate Type and Rate Table can only be linked in a Rate Lookup if they are set up within the same rate structure.

- Input the 'Per Adults' Rate Amount.
- Designate the 'Per Children' Rate Amount.

(Min nights, Dynamic Pricing, Additional charges).

Per Adults/Per Children Rate Calculations
Based on the Rate Table below, a reservation for 3 nights with two adults and one child will incur the following charges:
- First Night: $1,120
- Second Night: $1,120
- Third Night: $1,120
Total Rate: $3,360
Derived Rate Calculation
When creating a Derived Rate from a Per Adult/Per Child rate, it will NOT adjust based on the number of guests.
Instead, it will be a fixed per-night derived amount.
In the example below, the derived rate is set to be $100 less, as per the rate table above.
A reservation for 3 nights with two adults and one child will incur the following charges:
- First Night: $1,020
- Second Night: $1,020
- Third Night: $1,020
Total Rate: $3,060
