How to have Discounts Automatically apply to bookings made via the RMS Booking Engine.
Overview
RMS Booking Engine Automatic Discounts function enables the automatic application of discounts to reservations made on the RMS Booking Engine when a preset length of stay criteria is met.
The Discounts selected in Online Options will apply to a Reservation at online check-out when the selected Rate Type and Length of Stay criteria are met.
Discounts can be a set amount per reservation night, a percentage per reservation night, or a pre-configured Discount per reservation.
The entered Discount will be automatically applied during checkout on the RMS Booking Engine when the selected Rate Type is booked.
The Audit Trail tab keeps a record of any changes made in the Discounts tab.
Guide
- In the Side Menu of RMS, go to Setup > Online Bookings > Online Options.
- (Optional) Select Property
- Navigate to the "Discounts" tab.
- Select the checkbox "Automatically apply discount to booking cart".
- Select an Available Rate Type and choose the
button to move it to the "Allocated Rate Types".
- Enter the "Number of Nights".
(The Number of Nights in the Yellow field will automatically populate based on the Number of Nights added in the next row down. Yellow Fields cannot be changed.) - Select the "Type of Discount".
- Enter the Discount Amount, Discount Percentage, or select from the Discount list.
- Save.
