From 1 September 2026, we are updating the way RMS billing is calculated for your account. This article explains what is changing, when it takes effect, and how you can review your setup ahead of time.
Area count billing
From 1 September 2026, billing will automatically reflect all active bookable areas in your system. Your invoice will always match your actual property setup, with no manual adjustments needed.
How to review your active area count
If you would like to review your active area count ahead of this change, you can deactivate any Categories or individual Areas you no longer need at any time before 1 September 2026.
The quickest way to see all billable Areas set up at your property is, in the Side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Category/Area
Note: Category/Area may be called something else in your system, like RoomTypes/Room or Site Types/Sites
- Ensure that you are only viewing "Active" Areas
- Click on the Classification Column to Sort Alphabetically and group the classifications together.
- Count and Total your Accommodation, Site, and Dock Categories.
Billing is based on the Category Classification (Class). Only Categories classified as Accommodation, Site, or Dock should be included in your total. Categories classified as Add Ons, Facility, Activities, and Ticketing are not billable and should be excluded from the count.
