An Assigned Credit Note can be applied to a specific charge on an account to create a credit balance, enabling a refund without voiding the original charge.
An Assigned Credit Note is a type of Sundry Charge that applies a credit to a specific charge on an account. Revenue is deducted from the General Ledger Account Code of the selected charge. An existing charge must be present on the account before an Assigned Credit Note can be applied.

Guide
- Open the Reservation Account in RMS.
- Select Sundry Charge.
- Choose the Assigned Credit Note. Assigned Credit Notes appear in purple.
- Enter a negative (-) value for the Unit Price.
- Select the Target Charge to assign the credit note to.
- Enter a Comment (Optional).
- Select Apply/Exit.
✒ Please Note: If the Target Charge has tax applied, the tax amount is automatically deducted and included in the credit balance.
