How to use the Change Of Rate Creation Method tool in RMS to update the rate posting method used on future reservations for all or selected properties, categories, or areas.
Overview
The Change Of Rate Creation Method tool allows you to switch the method used to post accommodation charges on future reservations. The tool updates all future Unconfirmed, Confirmed, or Quote reservations with an arrival date on or after a date you specify, replacing the current rate creation method with the one you select.
⚠ Important: When accommodation charges are reposted using the new rate creation method, they recalculate based on the current rate setup for the property. The reposted amounts may differ from the original posted amounts.
⚠ Important: Reservations that have a Tax Invoice will not be updated by this tool. No changes are made to the reservation account where a Tax Invoice exists.
★ Tip: Access to this tool requires a Daily Password from the RMS Support Team. The Daily Password renews every 24 hours.
