Reservation rate charges are posted to the account either at check-in or during the night audit process. If a rate fails to post or requires correction, it can be manually added to the account as needed.

Overview
RMS provides flexible options for rate creation and posting. If you’re using nightly rate posting with Automatic End of Day processing, the system will automatically post accommodation charges each night at the designated time.
For properties set to a Manual End of Day, the New Day/Night Audit process will include posting the nightly rate for all in-house reservations as part of the daily procedure.
The Create Rate option on the reservation account allows you to manually post a rate to the account. This feature is especially useful when:
A posted rate was voided and needs to be corrected
A rate failed to post automatically
Charges need to be applied in advance of the actual stay dates

Steps
In the Side Menu of RMS, go to Accounting > Quick Account Access.
- Enter the Reservation Number.
- Select the Go to Account icon.
- Navigate to the Charges menu and choose Create Rate.
- Exit.
