How to set up a Hold Amount for an Owner when using Owner Accounting in RMS.
Overview
A Hold Amount keeps part of an Owner's income back when Owners are paid at the end of the month. You can set a Hold Amount in two places: on the Owner's bank account, or on an Owner Contract.
Hold Amounts you set up on the Owner's banking details apply to income on all Owned Areas for this Owner Profile, unless an Owner Contract has its own Hold Payment amount.
Important! A Hold Payment amount on an Owner Contract overrides the Hold Amount on the Owner's bank account. If Pay Owner/Manager (Close Month) holds back a different amount from the one you set on the bank account, check the Hold Payment field on the Owner Contract.
Please Note! RMS is highly configurable. Some Terminology, User Access & Permissions, Images, Labels, and Functions used in these articles may differ from your setup. CLICK HERE to find out more.

-
Select the Contract icon.
- In the Edit Contract window, enter the amount to hold in Hold Payment.
