Charge redirection

Charge Redirection enables diverting selected charges between Guest or Reservation Accounts and Reservation Account Types.

 

Overview

A Charge Redirection tab will be available on the Reservation Screen to divert charges to another Reservation Account Type on the same Reservation or an alternate Guest or Reservation Account.

Sundry Groupings can be used to simplify diverting similar Sundry Charges between accounts.

⚠ Important: This functionality is only available to Properties using Accrual Accounting.

Guide

In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Accounting > Accounting Options.

  1. Navigate to the 'Account Defaults' tab.
  2. Select the checkbox 'Allow Charge Redirection'.
  3. Select Save/Exit.

★ Hint: After saving changes to Security Profiles, Users should log out of RMS and then log back in to ensure the database updates and reflects the modifications.

 

The Charge Redirection tab will now show on all reservation screens.
