Set up an asset type

Overview

In Job Management, an Asset refers to any physical item, equipment, or system that needs to be maintained, repaired, tracked, or managed over its lifecycle.

Asset Types can be configured to organise Assets into distinct categories.

Common Examples of Asset Types

  • HVAC systems

  • Elevators

  • Plumbing or electrical systems

  • Machinery

  • Vehicles

  • Furniture

  • IT hardware

 

Guide

In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Asset > Asset Types.

  1. Select Add.

  2. Enter the Asset Type Description.
  3. Select Save.

  4. Select Add.

  5. Enter the Sub Asset Type Description.
  6. Select Save/Exit.
    Repeat steps to add all the required Sub Asset Types.
