Overview

In Job Management, an Asset refers to any physical item, equipment, or system that needs to be maintained, repaired, tracked, or managed over its lifecycle.

The asset will be available for selection in both Asset Maintenance and Job Management.

Common Examples of Assets

• Air-conditioners

• Heaters

• ATV's

• Whitegoods

• Laptops

• iPads\Tablets

• Beds

Key Characteristics of an Asset

• Has a unique identifier (like a serial number or asset tag)

• Is tracked for condition, usage, and service history

• Can have scheduled maintenance or reactive jobs associated with it

• Can include location data (e.g., which building or room it's in)

Guide

In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Asset > Assets.

1. Select Add. 
   
    

2. Select the Property.

3. Enter the Asset Description.

4. Enter an Asset Code.
   Select the Asset Type from the available list (Optional).
   Select a Subtype, if applicable (Optional).
   Select an Associated To option (Optional).
   All other selections are optional.

5. Select 'Save\Exit'.
