Google Analytics 4 for the RMS Booking Engine.
Overview
Market Tracking for the RMS Booking Engine enables linking Google Analytics 4 to track events throughout the online booking process.
Google Analytics 4 provides an out-of-the-box digital analytics solution that tracks four key events on the RMS Booking Engine with minimal setup.
The four key events tracked with Google Analytics 4 are:
- When an Area is added to the cart.
- When an Area is removed from the cart.
- When a Guest selects the "Book Now" or "Pay" button on the Booking Engine.
- When the purchase is Complete and the "Confirmed" page is displayed.

Prerequisites
Before this is configured in RMS, you will need your Google Analytics Code/Measurement ID.
This can be found on your Google Analytics Home Page, and it will start with " G- "
Guide
In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Online Bookings > Online Options.
- Select a Property.
- Navigate to the 'Market Tracking' tab.
- Enter the Google Analytics 4 Code/Measurement ID.
The Code/Measurement ID will begin with ' G- '
Eg, G-XXXXXXXX - Select Save/Exit.
Reports
After you have configured your Google Analytics and tracking is live, you will find data in your Google Analytics Reports.
Realtime
In Google Analytics, go to Reports > Realtime
Shows current users on your website any of the 4 tracked events in real-time.
- When an Area is added to the cart.
- When an Area is removed from the cart.
- When a Guest selects the "Book Now" or "Pay" button on the Booking Engine.
- When the purchase is Complete and the 'Confirm' page is displayed.
Events
In Google Analytics, go to Reports > Engagement > Events
Shows total counts of the 4 tracked events.
- When an Area is added to the cart.
- When an Area is removed from the cart.
- When a Guest selects the "Book Now" or "Pay" button on the Booking Engine.
- When the purchase is Complete and the 'Confirm' page is displayed.
Click on each event name to view parameter data.
E.g., Booking Value, Currency, and Items Booked
Revenue
In Google Analytics, go to Reports > Monetization > Ecommerce purchases
Shows detailed purchase data.
E.g., Value of Bookings, Items Booked, Booking Details
