A Contact is an individual who can be added to Guests, Companies, or Travel Agents for communication and correspondence purposes.

Import Information
Below is information on the requirements for the Contact Import available in RMS.
- The file must be imported in a comma delimited .csv format, see the template at the bottom of the article.
- Microsoft Excel is able to save using a .csv format that should match these requirements.
- The fields within this file must not contain commas.
- RMS is able to determine whether the first record is a header record.
⚠ Important: Legacy ID's are unique identifiers associated to Clients, Companies and Travel Agents. The legacy ID is a required field within client, company and travel agent imports.

Contact Type Values
The contact type determines the specific category with which the contact will be associated. The Contact Type must be imported using one of the following numerical values:
- 5 = Travel Agent
- 7 = Client/Guest
- 8 = Company
Downloadable Import File
The attached import file below contains the required file format for a contact import. Download the file and review the column headers. Populate the file with the contact details, ensuring that each field has an existing legacy ID within RMS.
