Attributes refer to the key features or characteristics that define the quality, appeal, and the guest experience. Attributes can be used to filter searches for a Property, Category or Area in RMS.

Import Information
- Areas must exist in RMS prior to attempting this import.
- The file must be imported in a comma delimited .csv format, see attached template at the bottom of this article.
- Microsoft Excel is able to save using a .csv  format that should match these requirements.
- The fields within this file must not contain commas.
- RMS is able to determine whether the first record is a header record.
- Use a new row for each additional Attribute per Area.

Import Validation
To ensure that your data is clean, consistent, and ready for the Live production environment after it has been validated and imported into the Training environment, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Setup > Category/Area.
- Choose a Property.
- Select the 'Edit' icon. Â
- Navigate to the Area menu.
- Highlight a specific Area.
- Select the 'Edit' icon.Â
- Navigate to the Attributes menu.
- Confirm the Attributes allocated to the Area.Â
★ Tip: Repeat this process with additional areas to verify that the entire import was successful. Review the Attribute Report (Reports > Daily > Attribute List) for the areas within the area attribute Linking import as an additional layer of verification.
