How to map Airbnb listings in RMS for accurate rate and availability sync.

Overview

Once you are registered and have successfully created listings on Airbnb, follow the steps below to map your listings in RMS. This ensures your connection with Airbnb is live, and updates push automatically.

Guide

This guide explains how to complete channel mapping in RMS and establish a Limited Sync connection with Airbnb. It covers two methods: Mapping by Property and Mapping by Area.

Mapping by Property

Use this method if all Airbnb listings share the same Host ID. If listings have different Host IDs, scroll down to Mapping by Area.

1. Navigate to Setup > Online Bookings > Channel Management.
2. Change Channel Connection Status from Connected to All.
3. Highlight the channel name Airbnb and click Connect.
   
    
4. In the Channel Mapping screen, click Connect & Retrieve Categories.
   
    
5. Click Proceed when prompted; you will be redirected to Airbnb's website to authorise the connection.
   
    
6. Tick the checkbox to agree to T&Cs, then click Allow.
   
    
7. Click OK to return to RMS.
   
    
8. Click Continue.
   
    
9. Listings created on Airbnb should now appear in RMS, ready for mapping:
   • Column 1: Airbnb listing (room/rate combinations from Airbnb).
   • Column 2: Select the RMS Room Type to match the extranet room/rate.
   • Column 3: Select the RMS Rate Type to match the extranet room/rate.
   • Column 4: (Optional) Tick No Update to prevent RMS from sending Rates & Availability to the Online Travel Agent. Untick when ready to release online.
10. Click Save/Exit to save the mapping and set the connection live. 
    
     

Mapping by Area

Use this method if Airbnb listings have different Host IDs.

1. Navigate to Setup > Online Bookings > Channel Management.
2. Change Channel Connection Status from Connected to All.
3. Double-click on the channel name "Airbnb" to open its setup screen.
   
    

4. In the Channel Mapping screen:

   • Select Map By Specific Room.
   • Select the area from the drop-down list.
   • Click Connect & Retrieve Areas.

   

    

5. Click Proceed when prompted; you will be redirected to Airbnb's website in a new tab to authorise the connection.
   
    
6. Tick the checkbox to agree to T&Cs, then click Allow.
   
    
7. Click OK to return to RMS.
   
    
8. Click Continue.
   
    
9. Listings created on Airbnb should now appear in RMS, ready for mapping:
   • Column 1: Airbnb listing (room/rate combinations from Airbnb).
   • Column 2: Select the RMS Room Type to match the extranet room/rate.
   • Column 3: Select the RMS Rate Type to match the extranet room/rate.
   • Column 4: (Optional) Tick No Update to prevent RMS from sending Rates & Availability to the Online Travel Agent. Untick when ready to release online.

10. Click Save/Exit to save the mapping, then select the next area and repeat until all listings are mapped.
