This article outlines an error that may occur when implementing Windcave as a Payment Gateway in RMS
When does this occur?
This error message may occur when the Windcave credentials have just been added or updated in RMS.
The Windcave credentials are added in the RMS Side Menu under:
Property Options > Property Information > Edit Property > Payment Gateway > "Ecommerce Online Payment Gateway".
What is the Cause
This error occurs because RMS is passing a MOTO flag within the ClientType field. If this has not been configured on Windcave.
The error will occur when the setup is saved in the RMS Side Menu under the:
Property Options > Property Information > Edit Property > Payment Gateway > "Ecommerce Online Payment Gateway" > MOTO Credentials section.
Specifically, this happens when:
RMS detects a MOTO account in Property Information, and
Windcave has not enabled the Merchant Input Client Type setting.
Resolution
Windcave must enable support for this flag.
Either the client or RMS Support must contact Windcave and request the following:
Once Windcave enables this setting, token creation and payment processing will function normally.
