Campstay is an online booking channel that can be connected to RMS via the Channel Manager. Once connected, Campstay and RMS exchange availability, rate, restriction, and reservation data automatically using RMS’s Channel Manager API and OTA messages.

Preparing to Connect
Campstay uses the RMS Channel Manager connection type. There is no separate OTA REST API module for Campstay.
Before connecting, make sure that:
- Your Categories and Rate Types in RMS are correctly configured for the rooms and rates you want to sell through Campstay.
- You have received any required Campstay extranet credentials (if applicable) or connection details from Campstay.
Connecting Campstay to RMS
To connect Campstay as a channel in RMS, follow the standard Channel Connection process.
- In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Online Bookings > Channel Management.
- Set View as to Unconnected (or All, where applicable).
- Locate the Campstay channel and select Connect.
- On the Connection Information tab, enter any connection details provided by Campstay (for example, username or hotel code) if required.
- Select the appropriate Availability, Rates & Inventory and Reservation Settings for your property.
- Complete the room and rate mapping by adding the Campstay room and rate codes and mapping them to your RMS Category and Rate Type combinations.
- Select Save/Exit when mapping is complete to activate the connection.

How does my park receive payments from Campstay?
If you select a 10% deposit payment policy, invoice the guest for the remainder of their booking on check-in. You do not need to invoice Campstay in this case. If you select an alternate payment policy, Campstay may charge the guest for a portion of, or the entire booking on your behalf. Campstay will retain this payment until the booking takes place, in case of cancellation or amendments. After the reservation takes place, invoice Campstay for any outstanding funds. If you have more than one reservation with Campstay during the month, invoice Campstay for all relevant reservations in one statement.
How do I know I have received a Campstay booking?
You will receive a confirmation email from Campstay immediately after an online booking is made. If you use RMS, the booking should already be in your system. When the guest arrives, verify their identity and charge them for any outstanding payments, depending on the payment policy selected.
Where and when does the guest pay for their booking?
Depending on the payment policy selected, the guest will either pay a fixed percentage of the booking up-front or the entire booking. The amount the guest has already paid will appear on the booking confirmation email. If the guest has only paid a portion of their booking, you will need to charge them for the remainder upon arrival or check-out (depending on your park’s policy). You are also responsible for charging the guest for any incidentals.
What happens if a guest amends their booking?
Campstay will facilitate booking amendments on your behalf, subject to availability and your Terms and Conditions. Campstay will email you if any booking amendments are made, and these changes will also be reflected in RMS. If the payment policy requires the guest to pay for the entire booking upfront, Campstay will either refund or charge the guest the difference.
What happens if a guest cancels their booking?
Depending on the cancellation policy you have chosen, Campstay will process any refund the guest is entitled to, less any cancellation fee. Invoice Campstay for any remaining funds.
