Information on the Tyro Payment Gateway

Overview

Tyro is a Payment Gateway available in RMS to provide PCI-compliant payment processing.

Payment Gateways are an eCommerce application provided by merchant services to authorise and process credit card payments in a PCI-compliant manner.

Supported Functions

Transaction Type Definitions

EFTPOS (Electronic Funds Transfer at Point of Sale):
Electronic payments processed with the card present using a connected device
at the time of sale.

eCommerce:
All card transactions processed electronically via the Internet.
This includes payments processed in RMS with a credit card token or card details,
as well as payments processed via the RMS Booking Engine and Guest Portal.

Blind Refunds:
Blind refunds permit users to refund any nominated value through the
payment gateway to any available credit card token.
The ability to perform a blind refund must be enabled in the payment gateway
account prior to being enabled in RMS.

Activating EFTPOS Integration

In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Property Options > Property Information.

1. Select Edit on an existing Property. 
   
    
2. Navigate to the 'Payment Gateway' tab.
3. Select the toggle 'EFTPOS (Payment Gateway) Terminal Payment Gateway'.
4. Select 'Tyro'.
   (Optional) Select 'Allow Blind Refunds'.
5. Select Save/Exit.
   

Tyro Steps

Complete the steps below on the EFTPOS terminal.

1. On the Tyro Terminal.
   1. Select 'Menu'.
   2. Select 'Configuration'.
   3. Enter the Admin Password.
   4. Select 'Integrated POS'.
   5. Select 'Pair with POS'.
   6. Record the displayed MID & TID.
   7. Select 'Done'.

EFTPOS Terminal Setup

In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Lookup Tables > EFTPOS (Pymt Gateway).

1. Select Add.
   
    
2. Select a Property.
3. Enter the Terminal Description.
4. Enter the MID from above Step 1f.
5. Enter the TID from above Step 1f.
6. Select 'Get Tyro Integration Key'.
   The 'Integration Key' field that displays in yellow will then auto-populate.
7. Select Save/Exit.
