This article describes the Hoseasons (One Connect) channel connection in RMS, including the data exchanged between Hoseasons (One Connect) and RMS.

Overview

Hoseasons (OneConnect) is an integration platform provided by Hoseasons, a leading UK-based holiday booking company specialising in self-catering accommodations such as lodges, cottages, and holiday parks.

OneConnect serves as a technology solution that enables seamless connectivity between property owners or managers and the Hoseasons booking system, ensuring smooth data exchange.

With OneConnect, property managers can efficiently manage availability, rates, and bookings by syncing the Hoseasons platform with RMS.

This integration ensures properties are listed in the Hoseasons marketplace, giving them visibility to potential customers who can book directly through the site.

Connection Preparation

Rates

• Before completing the connection to Hoseasons (OneConnect), rates must be configured for each available length of stay.
• Each Rate Type used for Hoseasons pricing must have the minimum and maximum length of stay set to the same value, with the available arrival days of the week selected.
  
   
• By default, RMS sends availability, rates, and inventory to Hoseasons. If a property prefers to manage rates directly through Hoseasons rather than RMS, they can select the "Disable Rate Updates" option on the mapping screen. However, reservations will continue to be successfully processed through the mapped room/rate.
  

Activate the Module

In the side menu of RMS, go to Module Market.

• Select 'Revenue Management'.
• Select 'Activate Module'.

Connection Information

Channel Connection Information for Hoseasons (One Connect) should be provided ahead of time by Hoseasons. Enter the email in the Login field, Hotel Code, Password, and the Hoseasons username in the Chain Code field.

After entering, hit Save to establish the connection. 

Please Note! A single property in RMS needs to be mapped with a single property in Hoseasons (One Connect). Hoseasons must be setup to match RMS where one RMS Client ID only maps to one Hoseasons Hotel Code.

Category & Area Mapping

• Hoseasons (OneConnect) uses Method #2 for the Category & Rate Type mapping in the Channel Connection. Each Category & Rate Type combination must be unique and will be used to identify the plan in RMS.
• To simplify setup, use the Rate Type Code and Category Code or the Rate Type Description and Category Description when adding the mapping in the Channel Connection.

Availability

Hoseasons uses Category Availability for the length of stay set on the Rate Type. Only Areas within the Category that are available for the full length of stay set on the Rate Type will be included as available to Hoseasons. Maximizing occupancy on the Booking Chart by adjusting reservations to close gaps and create continuous availability enhances booking opportunities across all channel connections, utilizing Category Availability.

Tip! In the example above, there are 3 nights available for this category on January 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. However, if the Length of Stay for the Rate Type is set to '3', the availability sent to Hoseasons for arrivals on January 2nd will be shown as '0'. To ensure availability is sent to Hoseasons for an arrival on January 2nd, Reservation #3 can be moved to Area 101.

Reservations

Reservation delivery from Hoseasons (OneConnect) occurs in stages. Initially, a placeholder or temporary entry holds the availability for a Hoseasons reservation until the full reservation details are exchanged between RMS and Hoseasons.

Hoseasons can include specific Requirements with a reservation if the Requirement Description in RMS matches the Service Description in Hoseasons.
