Reset a Forgotten RMS Vault Password

Steps to reset a forgotten RMS Vault password securely.


Overview

The RMS Vault can be used to securely store credit card information for guests.

If a User has forgotten the RMS Vault password, they can request a password reset email to be sent to the email address on their User setup.

Guide

  1. On the screen where the Vault password is usually entered, click the link 'Forgot Password?' option.

  2. An email will be sent to the user's email address with a link to reset the password.

    The email will be sent from - noreply@rms.com.au
    Example RMS Vault password reset email in an inbox, showing noreply@rms.com.au as the sender, a subject line about resetting the RMS Vault password, and a Reset Password link that the user can click to create a new Vault password.
     

  3. Click on the link, and create a new Vault password.
  4. Then click ‘Reset’.
