Overview
Revenue is the total income generated by a business from its normal operations.
Within RMS reporting, there are Nett and Gross revenue.
Below is information on the differences between the two in RMS.
Gross Revenue
Gross revenue is the whole amount before any deductions of applicable taxes.
Nett Revenue
Net revenue is the amount remaining after all applicable tax deductions have occurred.
When is Gross & Net Revenue the same?
Gross and Net figures may display the same value on reports under the following circumstances:
| Tax Inclusive | Tax Exclusive |
| No VAT or GST has been applied to the charges. | No Taxes have been allocated to the associated charges. |
| Tax Inclusive setup is configured incorrectly. | The General Ledger Account code associated to the taxes was setup as 'Include in Accommodation Revenue for Reporting.' |
