Information on the difference between Created and Posted dates in RMS.
Transaction Posted Date
The Transaction Posted Date is the accounting date applied to a transaction created on an account in RMS.
The Posted Date is generally the current accounting date, except for transactions created for future dates.
Accommodation charges created on the reservation account before the reservation’s arrival date will be created with a Posted Date equal to the arrival date, which is the applicable accounting date for that revenue.
Transaction Creation Date
The Transaction Created Date is the system date on which the transaction is added to the account in RMS.
Unlike the Posted Date, the Created Date is always the actual calendar date at the time the transaction is entered onto the account in RMS.
Accommodation charges created on the reservation account before the reservation’s Arrival Date will display a Posted Date equal to the Arrival Date, while the Created Date will show the date on which the transaction was actually created.
