How to take a Credit Card Payment through RMS Pay

Overview

A Credit Card Receipt is a payment method used to charge a Guest's credit card through a Payment Gateway.

Payment Gateways are an eCommerce application provided by merchant services to authorise and process credit card payments in a PCI-compliant manner.

A Credit Card Receipt can be created by using an existing Credit Card Token, Credit Card Pre-Auth Token, or by entering new credit card information.

Entering new credit card information when creating a Credit Card Receipt will create a Credit Card Token when processing a payment.

When processing a Payment via an Online Ecommerce page, a CVV is not required to process the transaction. If a CVV is entered, a Credit Card Token is created for the guest. But if a CVV is not provided, a Credit Card token will NOT be created.

This is not a function that can be turned on or off.

Guide

Open the 'Accomm' account on the Reservation screen.

1. Select the 'Receipt' menu.
2. Select 'Create Receipt'.
    
3. Select the Receipt Type of 'Credit Card'.
4. Select the required Transaction Fee option.
   Select the checkbox for Card CVC not required (Optional).
   Selecting Card CVC not required will process the payment, but no CC Token will be created.
5. Enter the Receipt Amount.
6. Select the 'Print Option'.
7. Click 'Process'.
    
8. Select Credit Card.
9. Enter the Credit Card details.
10. Select Pay.
    

A Credit Card Receipt for the entered Receipt Amount will be created on the reservation account.
