Information on integrating Salto with RMS using the Door Locks module.
Salto Overview
The Salto ProAccess Space integration enables encoding keys or sending digital keys directly from the Reservation using the connected Salto Key Encoders. With the Salto JustIN Mobile app, registered users can use their smartphone as their door key credentials.
Prerequisites
Before you begin setting up the Salto integration, ensure that you have the following:
- A Salto ProAccess Space account with your endpoint URL, port number, and login credentials provided by Salto
- The RMS MFI (Multi Function Interface) Cloud Processor application installed on the same local computer as Salto ProAccess Space
- Access to the RMS Module Market to activate the Door Locks module
- Salto Key Encoder IDs that match those configured in Salto ProAccess Space
Setup and Configuration

- Select 'Add'.
- Enter the Common Area Name.
- Input an External ID for the Common Area.
- Navigate to the Properties menu.

'Key' icon to open the Key Cut window.
- Select the Encoder.
- Choose the Number of Keys to Cut.
- Confirm the Common Areas access.
- Click the
'Key' icon to create keys on the selected encoder, or the
'Phone' icon to send a mobile key.
- Select 'Ok' to confirm.
Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with the Salto integration, check the following:
- If keys are not encoding, verify that the MFI Processor is running and connected on the same computer as Salto ProAccess Space.
- If the encoder is not detected, confirm that the Key Encoder ID in RMS matches the Key Encoder ID configured in Salto ProAccess Space.
- If common areas are not appearing on the Key Cut window, ensure the Area Description in RMS matches the Area Name in Salto ProAccess Space exactly.
- If mobile keys are not being sent, confirm that the guest has registered with the Salto JustIN Mobile app.
- For further assistance, Submit a Ticket with RMS Support.
