Salto

The Salto ProAccess Space integration enables encoding keys or sending digital keys directly from the Reservation using the connected Salto Key Encoders. With the Salto JustIN Mobile app, registered users can use their smartphone as their door key credentials.

Salto Door Lock Module Activation

  1. Navigate to the Module Market in the side menu.
  2. Select the Module Type as 'Access Control'.
  3. Select the 'Activate' Toggle on the Door Locks module with the Partner as 'Salto'. Market1.png
  4. Select the Properties.
  5. Read the Terms & Conditions.
  6. Select 'Activate Door Locks'. Market2.png
  7. Navigate to the 'Activated' tab.
  8. Select the 'Lock' icon. Market3.png
  9. Choose the 'Configuration' icon.
  10. Enter the Daily Password provided by RMS Customer Support.
  11. Select the 'Apply & Exit' icon. Market4.png
  12. Choose the 'Save/Exit' icon. Market5.png

 

Multi Function Interface (MFI) Configuration

The Salto Door Lock module requires the RMS MFI Processor which can be activated in the Module Market. Once the Multi Function Interface (MFI) Cloud Processor application has been installed and connected to RMS, the door lock module can be configured.

Important Information!

The MFI Processor must be installed on the same local computer as Salto ProAccess Space.

The Salto ProAccess Space username, password and endpoint provided by Salto are required to complete the module setup in RMS.

  1. Open the MFI Processor and navigate to Setup > Configuration. MFI1.png
  2. Navigate to the 'Door Locks' tab.
  3. Select 'Salto Pro Access' as the Door Lock.
  4. Enter the Salto Endpoint.
  5. Enter the Salto Port.
  6. Select 'Area Name' as the Area Source.
  7. Choose the 'Save' button and exit the MFI Configuration window. MFI2.png

Please Note

The Area Description in RMS and the Area Name in Salto ProAccess Space must match to use the Door Locks module.


 

Key Encoder Configuration

A Key Encoder is a device used with door lock systems to program the keycard with access to one or more door locks. Salto Key Encoders can be added in RMS after the module has been activated to enable encoding keys directly from a reservation.

Important Information!

The Key Encoder ID entered in RMS must match the Key Encoder ID in Salto ProAccess Space for the integration to work.

  1. Navigate to Setup > Door Locks > Key Encoders.
  2. Select the 'Add' icon to create a key encoder. Enc1.png
  3. Enter the key encoder Description.
  4. Select the 'Save/Exit' icon. Enc2.png
Repeat these steps to add additional key encoders.

Common Area Configuration

Common Areas are shared spaces at the property that can only be accessed with a key.

  1. Navigate to Setup > Door Locks > Common Areas.
  2. Select the 'Add' icon to create a new Common Area. Com1.png
  3. Enter the Common Area Name.
  4. Input an External ID for the Common Area.
  5. Navigate to the Properties menu. Com2.png
  6. Select the 'Add' icon. Com3.png
  7. Highlight the Property.
  8. Use the 'Allocate' icon to move the property from the 'Available' to the 'Selected' column. Com4.png
  9. Select the 'Apply & Exit' icon. Com5.png
  10. Choose the 'Save/Exit' icon to complete the Common Area configuration. Com6.png
  11. Repeat these steps to add additional Common Areas. Com7.png
The Key Encoder will be available for selection when creating Keys on a Reservation.

 

Reservation Key Creation

Keys can be encoded on the Reservation by using the  'Key' icon. 

  1. Open a reservation and use the 'Key' icon to open the Key Cut window. Key1.png
  2. Select the Encoder.
  3. Choose the Number of Keys to Cut.
  4. Confirm the Common Areas access.
  5. Click the 'Key' icon to create keys on selected encoder, or the 'Phone' icon to send a mobile key. Key2.png
  6. Select 'Ok' on the Keycard encoding message. Key3.png
  7. Keys created from RMS will appear in the reservation audit trail for reference. Key4.png
The Key Serial Number will be recorded in the Audit Trail.
