Information on activating and configuring RemoteLock as a Door Lock partner in RMS.
Overview
RemoteLock provides cloud-based access control solutions tailored for vacation rental properties, streamlining guest entry and property management.

Setup Requirements
The following setup is required to use this feature in RMS:
- Before enabling the Remote Lock module, please contact Remote Lock to activate RMS as your PMS partner, assist with configuring your Remote Lock account, and request your Remote Lock credentials.

Setup
- In the side menu of RMS, go to the Module Market
- Select the Module Type 'Access Control'.
- Select the Toggle to activate the module.
- Read the Terms & Conditions.
- Select 'Activate Door Locks'.
- Go to the 'Activated' tab in the Module Market
- Select the
'Unlock' icon - Enter the Daily Password and choose
'Ok'. - Select the
'Configuration' icon. - Enter the Remote Lock Username & Password.
- Select Save/Exit.
- Redirect to Remote Lock: Enter your Username and Password.
- Sign In
- Authorise
- Close the Tab and return to RMS.
- In RMS, navigate to Remote Lock Area Mapping in the side menu.
- Select the Lock Name drop-down for Device List from Remote Lock and map it to the corresponding area in RMS.
⚠️ Common Areas
Area mapping is supported for categories and areas configured in RMS only. Common areas set up in RMS are not included in area mapping.
To configure common areas within RemoteLock, refer to the RemoteLock Common Door Function article.

Additional Information
Access codes are generated by Remote Lock when a reservation status changes to "Confirmed".
Each reservation can have only one access code. If the reservation is cancelled, the access code is revoked.
When a User updates the guest name, email, or reservation arrival/departure dates, there is no need to regenerate the Access Code.
If necessary, a new access code can be manually requested via the Reservations Access/Rego tab in RMS.
Guide
In the RMS Side Menu, go to the Module Market
Select the Module Type 'Access Control'
Select the Toggle to activate the module for Remote Lock
Read the Terms & Conditions
Select 'Activate Door Locks'
Go to the 'Activated' tab in the Module Market
Select the
'Unlock' icon
Enter the Daily Password and choose
'Ok'.

Please Submit a Ticket to request the Daily Password from RMS Support
Select the
'Configuration' icon.
Enter the Remote Lock Username & Password.
Select Save/Exit.

Redirect to Remote Lock: Enter your Username and Password.
Sign In

Authorize
Close the Tab and return to RMS. 
In the side menu of RMS, go to Remote Lock Area Mapping.
Select the Lock Name drop-down for Device List from Remote Lock and map it to the corresponding area in RMS.
Access codes are stored under the Reservations Rego/Access tab.
