Overview
Parki is an online business intelligence platform built specifically for tourist parks. It is available to properties operating in Australia and New Zealand.
This article explains how to set up and use the Parki integration in RMS. When connected to RMS, Parki receives key operational data overnight and combines it with accounting data and Google Analytics to provide detailed insights into your property’s performance.
Before enabling the Parki integration, make sure your property has an active Parki account and that your RMS user profile has permission to update property settings.
By connecting RMS, the property’s accounting software, and Google Analytics, Parki brings these data sources together to deliver a clear view of overall business performance.
Prerequisites
Before enabling the Parki integration, confirm the following requirements are met:
- Your property is located in Australia or New Zealand.
- Your property's System Type in RMS is set to Caravan Park, Hotel, or Motel.
- You have a Parki account. Visit the Parki website to learn more or sign up for their service.
- You have access to Setup > Property Options > Property Information in RMS.
Enable Parki in RMS
To enable the Parki integration for your property, follow these steps:
In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Property Options > Property Information.
- Select 'Edit' on an existing Property.
- Navigate to the 'Features' tab.
- Select the checkbox 'Parki'.
- Select 'Save/Exit'.
Once saved, RMS will begin sending data exports to Parki overnight. No further configuration is required in RMS.
Exported Data
When the Parki interface is enabled for a property, RMS automatically sends four data exports to Parki overnight at 2:30 AM. The following sections describe what each export contains.
Earned Revenue
The Earned Revenue export includes all revenue on the reservation accounts for the reservations in the Reservation Export as of the export date. It contains the following fields:
- RMS Client ID
- Export Date
- Reservation Number
- Earned Revenue Amount as of the Export Date per Reservation
Occupancy
The Occupancy export includes all categories for the property along with the total number of available areas, total areas sold, and total areas on maintenance for the export date. It contains the following fields:
- RMS Client ID
- Export Date
- Property Name
- RMS Category ID
- RMS Category Description
- Occupancy Date
- Available Areas
- Occupied Areas
- Areas on Maintenance
The date range for the Occupancy export covers data spanning two years into the past (up to the first day of that year) as well as future data up to the end of the current year or three months into the future, whichever is greater on the export date.
Reservations
The Reservation export includes reservation statistics such as arrival and departure dates, number of guests, reservation creation details, rate and discount information, category, and guest information. It contains the following fields:
- The Property's RMS Client ID
- Export Date
- Reservation Number
- Reservation Arrive Date
- Reservation Depart Date
- Number of Nights
- Reservation Status
- Reservation Check-in Time
- Reservation Check-out Time
- Number of Adults
- Number of Children
- Number of Infants
- RMS Booking Source ID
- RMS Booking Source Description
- Reservation Creation Date
- Reservation Made By
- Rate Amount
- Discount Amount
- RMS Discount ID
- RMS Discount Description
- RMS Category ID
- RMS Category Description
- Primary Guest ID
- Primary Guest Post Code
Surveys
The Surveys export sends survey-related data from RMS to Parki. For details on the specific fields included in this export, contact Parki directly.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Possible Cause | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| Parki checkbox is not visible on the Features tab | The property's System Type may not be set to Caravan Park, Hotel, or Motel, or the property may not be in Australia or New Zealand. | Verify the property's System Type and country settings under Setup > Property Options > Property Information. |
