Information on the Braintree Payment Gateway

Overview

Braintree is a Payment Gateway available in RMS to provide PCI-compliant credit card storage and payment processing.

Payment Gateways are an eCommerce application provided by merchant services to authorise and process credit card payments in a PCI-compliant manner.

The functions and setup are outlined in this article.

Connecting a Payment Gateway account with RMS provides secure credit card storage, payment processing, and refunds directly from within RMS.

Credit Card Tokens created using Braintree will only display the last two digits of the credit card.

Setup Guide

Go to Setup > Property Options > Property Information.

1. Select the 'Edit' icon on an existing Property.
   
    
2. Navigate to the 'Payment Options/Fees' tab.
3. Select the Toggle 'Ecommerce'.
4. Select 'Braintree' as the Payment Gateway.
5. Enter the Merchant Account ID. (Provided by Braintree).
6. Enter the Merchant ID (Provided by Braintree).
7. Enter the Private Key (Provided by Braintree).
8. Enter the Public Key (Provided by Braintree).
9. Select a Pre-Authorisation Calculation.
   Optional: Select the checkbox 'Warn if no Pre-Authorisation exists on Check-in'.
10. Select Save/Exit.
