Information on the Elavon Payment Gateway

Overview

Elavon is a Payment Gateway available in RMS to provide PCI-compliant credit card storage and payment processing.

Payment Gateways are an eCommerce application provided by merchant services to authorise and process credit card payments in a PCI-compliant manner.

Connecting a Payment Gateway account with RMS provides secure credit card storage, payment processing, and refunds directly from within RMS.

Properties setup with GK Solutions as the Property Payment Gateway & Elavon as the Online Payment Gateway will have card-not-present receipts in RMS processed via the Elavon account.

Supported Functions

Transaction Type Definitions

EFTPOS (Electronic Funds Transfer at Point of Sale):
Electronic payments processed with the card present using a connected device
at the time of sale.

eCommerce:
All card transactions processed electronically via the Internet.
This includes payments processed in RMS with a credit card token or card details,
as well as payments processed via the RMS Booking Engine and Guest Portal.

Blind Refunds:
Blind refunds permit users to refund any nominated value through the
payment gateway to any available credit card token.
The ability to perform a blind refund must be enabled in the payment gateway
account prior to being enabled in RMS.

Guide

In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Property Options > Property Information.

1. Select Edit on an existing Property.
   
    
2. Navigate to the 'Payment Gateway' tab.
3. Select the E-commerce toggle.
4. Select 'Elavon' as the Payment Gateway.
5. Enter the Site ID (Provided by Elavon).
6. Enter the Chain (Provided by Elavon).
7. Enter the Location (Provided by Elavon).
8. Enter the Terminal ID (Provided by Elavon).
   Select the checkbox 'Allow Blind Refunds' (Optional).
9. Select the Pre Authorisation Calculation.
   Select the checkbox 'Warn on Check-in if no Pre Authorisation exists' (Optional).
