Pre-Authorisation
Pre-Authorisation prompts the card issuer to place a temporary hold of funds for the preset amount without issuing payment to the requester.
The card issuer will automatically release the funds back to the cardholder after their prescribed hold period unless manually released earlier.
The number of days funds are held is determined by the card issuer, with an average of 3-5 business days up to 30 business days from the time the Pre-Authorisation Token is created.
Consuming a Pre-Authorisation Token will use the funds held on the card and create a Receipt on the account for the value consumed.
Refunds
A Refund is a record of payment returned for an existing Receipt.

Extra Features
Pay By Link is a feature exclusively available to RMS Pay that enables sending a secure payment link by SMS or email to request payment of the set value.
The recipient can securely enter their credit card information, with payment processed using RMS Pay and a Credit Card Receipt created on the account to record the payment taken.
Network Token
A Network Token will be created automatically using the card information entered in the Pay By Link to facilitate future transactions.
Triggered Correspondence
Properties using RMS Pay can access 2 exclusive Triggered Correspondence rules.
- X periods before Company Credit Card Expiry
- X periods before Travel Agent Credit Card Expiry
This feature allows the setup of a trigger that will send out Correspondence to a Company or Travel Agent before a Network Token stored on the Company or Travel Agent is due to expire, allowing time for new credit card details to be provided via the Corporate Portal.
As this Trigger is based on a Company or Travel Agent and not a Reservation, the Reservation and Date Filters in the Triggered Correspondence setup are skipped.
RMS Pay Contacts
Specific Users can be setup as RMS Pay Contacts to receive pay updates and notifications.
Please have the Primary System Administrator follow the steps below -
In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Property Options > Contacts.
Navigate to the RMS Pay tab.
Select Add.
