Information on building and using the Pace Report in RMS.
Overview
The Pace report provides a year-on-year comparison for Reservations, Nights Sold, Average Daily Rate, Occupancy and Operational Revenue.
The Pace report can be used to track performance compared to previous years and develop pace occupancy and revenue growth and revenue trends compared to previous operating periods, with a graph for date ranges greater than one month.
The Pace report can be generated with a daily breakdown as a .csv export under 'More Options'.
Comparison options for the Pace report include Last Year, Year Before Last, Last Year & Year Before Last or No Comparison.
The Pace report allows you to compare current‑year performance against last year, the prior year, both years combined, or choose not to include any comparison.
Selecting the current date as the 'Reservation Made Before' date will provide an accurate performance overview of how the property is tracking as of today, compared to the same time in the previous period.
Build Options
| Build Option | Description |
| All Reservations Made Prior To | Date. Limits the report to reservations made before this date. Defaults to today's date. |
| For Reservations Between | Date range. The arrival date range for the reporting period. Defaults to last month. |
| Property | Filter results to one or more specific properties. |
| Category | Filter results to one or more room or site categories. |
| Rate Type | Filter results to one or more rate types. |
More Options | |
| Compare To | The comparison period for year-on-year analysis. Options: Last Year, Year Before Last, Last Year & Year Before Last, No Comparison. |
| Room Stats | Option to include Areas with Statistics On, Off or Ignore the setting. |
| Graph Display | Display the graph as Monthly, Weekly or Daily. |
| Graph Revenue | Display the graph as Gross or Nett Revenue. |
| Group 1 | Breaks down report data by the selected grouping. Options: None, Property, Property State, Category, Category Grouping, Day of the Week. |
| Group 2 | A secondary breakdown grouping applied alongside Group 1. Options: None, Property, Property State, Category, Category Grouping, Day of the Week. |
| Deduct Projected Cancellation / No Show Percentage from Current Values | When selected, deducts the projected cancellation and no-show percentage from current period values. |
| Show Daily Breakdown (CSV Export) | When selected, includes a per-day breakdown of data in the CSV export. |
Guide
In the side menu of RMS, go to Reports > Management > Statistics > Pace.
- Select the 'Reservations Made Prior To' Date.
- Select the 'Reservations Between' Date Range.
- Select a Category.
(Optional) Select a Rate Type.
(Optional) Select 'More Options' for additional report selections, including comparison options. - Select Build.

| Current | Value for the current period selected as the 'For Reservations Between' date range in the build options. |
| Variance | The difference between the value for the current period and the previous period shown as a whole value on the left and a percentage on the right of the column. |
| Previous | Value for the previous period selected as the 'Compare To' in the build options. |
| Previous 2 | Displayed when the 'Compare To' option is selected as 'Last Year & Year Before Last'. Using this option 'Previous' will be Last Year and Previous 2 will be the Year Before Last. |

| Gross Revenue |
Total Operational Revenue amount before any deductions of applicable taxes. Gross & Nett figures may display the same value under the following circumstances:

Total Operational Revenue less any deductions for applicable taxes. Gross & Nett figures may display the same value under the following circumstances:

| Average Daily Rate Gross | The Total Gross Revenue divided by the Total Reservation Nights for the period. |
| Average Daily Rate Nett | The Total Nett Revenue divided by the Total Reservation Nights for the period. |
| Occupancy | The Total Reservation Nights as a percentage of the Total Available Reservation Nights for the period. |
