The Promo Code on the RMS Internet Booking Engine (IBE) allows a guest to search availability and book a reservation using a discount. In addition to discounts, the Promo Code allows guests to search availability to book from a group allotment.

Enabling the IBE Promo Code Field
- Go to Setup > Online Bookings > Online Options.
- Navigate to the 'Page Settings' menu.
- Select the Property.
- Select the 'Show Promotion Code' checkbox.
- Choose the 'Save/Exit' icon.

The 'Promotional/Group Code' field will now be displayed on the search page of the RMS IBE.
Creating a Promo Code
| Discount options will vary based on the Discount Type selected. |
1. Go to Setup > Accounting > Discounts.
2. Select the 'Add' icon.
3. Enter the Discount Name.
4. Select a General Ledger Account Code option.
5. Optional: Enter the Length of Stay Restrictions.
6. Select the Discount Type.
7. Enter the Discount Options.
8. Check the 'Use as RMS Online Promotion' box.
9. Select the 'Save' icon.
10. Select the Discount Access.
11. Choose the 'Apply' icon.
12. Navigate to the 'Property/Category' menu.
13. Select the applicable Property.
14. Select the applicable Categories.
15. Optional: Navigate to the 'Validation Options' to configure validation rules.
16. Select the 'Save/Exit' icon.

Important Information! The Discount Name is the Promo Code which is case sensitive. |
