The channel connection to the RMS Internet Booking Engine (IBE) determines the Availability, Rate Types and other channel specific information to be used by the RMS IBE. Configuring the connection in the Channel Manager is the final step before adding the URL to the property's website and receiving reservations online.

Activating the RMS Internet Booking Engine (IBE)
- Go to Setup > Online Bookings > Channel Management in RMS.
- Select the 'Unconnected' View.
- Highlight the 'RMS Book Now Button' channel.
- Select the 'Connect' button.
Availability Options and Channel Color
- Navigate to the 'Options' menu.
- Select an Availability option.
- Do Not Use Allotments (Full Availability): Full Availability minus the number of areas held back from the category online options.
- Channel Allotment: Channel Allotments are a preset amount of inventory that can be shared with the RMS Book Now (IBE) Channel. Channel Allotments must be created after selecting the availability option.
- Default Allotment: Default Allotments are a preset amount of inventory that can be shared with selected connected channels. Default Allotments must be created within Setup > Online Bookings > Default Allotments.
- Optional: Select a Colour.
- Optional: Select to Hide IBE Reservations from the Guest Portal.
- Optional: Select a Market Segment to assign to reservations made through the Internet Booking Engine.
- Optional: Select the checkbox 'Show Net Rate'.

| The option 'Show Net Rate' is available for Tax Exclusive properties to advertise prices without tax amounts added on the RMS Internet Booking Engine. |
Available Rate Types
- Navigate to the 'Available Rate Types' menu.
- Highlight the Rate Types that will be advertised on the IBE.
- Choose the
'Allocate' icon to assign the Rate Types. - Select 'Connect'.
- Select 'Save/Exit'.
| The RMS Book Now Button Channel will now update to a 'Connected' Status. The connection to the RMS Internet Booking Engine is now complete and the URL can be generated to add to the property's website. |
